Our Opponent: Erin Paré
- Mark Robinson clone: Paré aligns with ultra-conservative Mark Robinson and supports the same outlandish anti-democratic efforts as Robinson.
- Like Trump, she name-calls her opponents and bullies rivals online.
- Pare has lofty goals: Erin Pare’s failed run for congress suggests she’s limited, doesn’t resonate with most North Carolinians, and has higher office on her mind rather than serving her district.
- Pare is Anti-Choice: Pare voted to limit women’s access to abortion calling it “the fundamentally most pro-life piece of legislation to pass the North Carolina General Assembly.”
- Ultra-Right CPAC awarded Pare the Award for Conservative Achievement
- Anti-Immigrant: Supports Gov. of Texas Greg Abbott’s extreme Anti-Immigrant views and asked Gov. Cooper to send our troops to the southern border.
- Questionable ethics: Pare has been accused of campaign finance violations, accepting bundled contributions from gambling interests.
- Anti Public School: Voted against income-based qualifications for opportunity scholarships thus allowing the wealthiest families to receive financial support.
- Anti LGTBQ+: Pare voted for the Parents Bill of Rights which requires teachers to tell parents if their child has identified as LGBTQ+ or changes their pronouns.
- Racist Undertones: Pare voted to support a ban on North Carolina public schools from teaching Critical Race Theory despite the fact that it wasn’t being taught in North Carolina public schools.
- Pare is against student loan forgiveness proposed by the Biden administration.
- Soft on Guns/Tough on Women: Pare voted to eliminate background checks for domestic abusers and voted to repeal the requirement for pistol permit. Paré voted for H49, which would allow concealed-carry weapon holders to carry guns into churches that use private school property to hold services.
- Pare is anti-union and anti-worker rights– she introduced a bill to take away union worker rights– since then their wages and benefits have been diminished.
- Pare is a hypocrite: She claims the legislative process needs to be transparent but Pare voted not only in favor of the radically redrawn Republican redistricting maps but also voted to keep the redistricting process secret.
